FL Receives $900,000 to Assist in Wildfire Prevention

Florida Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Charles Bronson announced today that his department has been awarded $900,000 under the federal stimulus plan to conduct wildfire prevention efforts, as U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, in an exclusive interview with Southeast AgNet, said this funding is an example of the President’s Recovery and Reinvestment Act putting people back to work.
