
Late last week, President Trump hosted farmers and ranchers at the White House to celebrate National Agriculture Day and Week. Joined by US Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, President Trump Highlighted some of the efforts that the administration has undertaken, as well as plans for other items impacting agriculture.
President Trump said, “In my first year back in the White House, farm income has soared by 20 percent. I repealed the Biden EPA’s ridiculous water restrictions with the help of Republicans in Congress. We passed the largest tax cuts in American history. As we made the small business tax deduction permanent, benefiting 98 percent of America’s farmers and ranchers.”
“And thanks to bonus depreciation, farmers can now deduct 100 percent of the cost of new tractors and oil equipment in the first year. I’m announcing a dramatic update to the renewable fuel standards for 2026 and 2027, requiring the highest volumes of renewable fuels in history. I’m pleased to announce that the Small Business Administration is opening up massive new loan guarantees for farmers and food suppliers, including vegetable farmers, grain farmers and seed farmers, cattle, pig and poultry producers, grocery wholesalers and many more,” said President Trump.
