At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended March 27, 2026, receipts at 16 markets totaled 9,583 head compared to 5,507 last week and 9,262 last year. Compared to last week: Slaughter cattle sold 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Feeder cattle sold mostly steady to 5.00 higher, with instances sharply higher. Trade active with good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cattle sold steady to firm. Warm weather and green grass across majority of the state lead to an increase in receipts this week. Year-to-date receipts totaled 100,474 compared to 109,810 last year.
