The SLE Rodeo is coming soon to Montgomery Alabama and we caught up with Josie Jones with the SLE to get more details.

Jones said, “the SLE rodeo is coming soon to Montgomery, Alabama and we caught up with Josie Jones with the SLE to get more details. We are super excited for the SLE rodeo here in 2026. It’s going to be March 20th through the 22nd in Montgomery.”

“It’s a PRCA sanctioned rodeo. We host it every single year in March and the goal of this rodeo is to support the organization. So the SLE or the Southeastern Livestock Exposition is an organization that operates to support youth in agriculture. That’s the whole mission and this event is a big fundraiser to support those missions every single year. So while we’re excited for the PRCA rodeo happening March 20th through the 22nd, there’s a lot more that goes into this event and everything around it. We host a junior livestock expo. We have youth rodeo contests and clinics where we bring in the pros and bring the kids out on the dirt where those pros compete and let them have a little bit of a taste of it and get them interested in rodeo. But we also have a lot of opportunities for youth to learn in other ways. So we have a youth sheep and goat clinic where they can come out and get involved and learn about the showing world and really start at the basics,” said Jones.

“And then we also have a livestock judging contest. So this event is a rodeo and that’s the part that a lot of people know it for, but there’s a lot more to it and we really encourage people to get involved however they see fit for themselves. We’d love for you to come on out, enjoy the event. We have a lot new exciting things this year and the best part is you get to see monkeys riding dogs. So for more information, the full event schedule, and to purchase tickets, you can go to slerodeo.com,” said Jones.
