The Alabama Cattlemen’s Association has a new President in Wyatt Sasser. We caught up with Wyatt to learn what his goals were for 2026.
Sasser said, “Just mainly trying to maintain the membership number and I would love to grow that number because our membership is so, so important to our association. To keep that membership up and keep them informed about what’s going on, to keep them advised of what’s going on. To be totally transparent with everything that we do at the association. And I know a lot of people don’t come to the meetings or come to the board meetings a lot of times, but I just want them to know I’m trying to get to every county or at least every regional vice president to meet with those presidents for them to take it back to their county to express to them how important that is and how much that means to the association.”
“I was thinking about when the association first got started back in 1944 over in Demopolis, Alabama and how they were struggling in the beginning because they were trying to centralize it to that one location. And until it blowed out into all 67 counties, it did struggle. And so I just want people to understand and realize and try to maintain that county membership, build on it. I have set my goal for this year at 12,000,” said Sasser.
