Cattle producers are always looking to improve their pastures for their cattle herds and Envu has solutions for producers to consider. We caught up with Jack Conroy with Envu during NCBA’s CattleCon to learn more.
Conroy said, “Rezilon’s a pre-emerge herbicide for warm season grasses in Bermuda which helps a lot of these producers manage hard to control weeds like crabgrass and sandburs in the spring.”
“It’s a strictly pre-emerge that’s supplied and actually January, February at three ounces per acre and then again in August, September three ounces per acre as well. It also helps you with the pre-emergence for ryegrass which a lot of these weeds like crabgrass, ryegrass are competing with your moisture and your fertilizers would rob you of some of your profits. Rezilon helps you eliminate some of those so you can be more productive.”
When asked if a surfactant was needed with Rezilon, Conroy said, “If they’re actually out there just putting Rezilon out by itself, it does not need as effective but if you have of course with any condition if they’re adding a post emergent herbicide with it or if they have need to condition their water if they have hard water or they’re adding a post herbicide then absolutely you know follow the label but absolutely add surfactants to that mix to help get control of that those post weeds that are already up.”
On where to go for more information, Conroy said, “So we have a website it’s www.rezilon.com. They can go there and see all the features and benefits. They can actually see the labels, MSDS sheets and all the different labeled uses that we have for Rezilon and our extended portfolio of products like Cimarron and Pastora.”
