The Alabama Cattlemen’s Association (ACA) is reminding members to register soon for its upcoming annual convention, set to take place March 6–7 in Mobile, Alabama. With early bird specials nearing their end and hotel rooms filling quickly, organizers are encouraging cattle producers to secure their spot as soon as possible.
Erin Beasley with the ACA shared details on registration options and what members can expect at this year’s event.
“We definitely want to remind members that are planning to join us in Mobile that the convention registration and housing it is open and we are starting to look at the end of our early bird specials coming up here so a great chance for those members to get signed up.”
The convention offers flexible registration choices to fit individual schedules and interests.
“You can do a do-it-all registration or you can go a la carte whichever way you’d like to but if you do the do-it-all that does include everything at the convention. All the meals, all the educational sessions, the trade show, the whole nine yards.”
This year’s agenda includes a strong lineup of speakers and educational sessions designed to provide practical tools producers can take back to their operations.
“So we have a great group of speakers this year looking forward to having our general sessions covering topics such as how to avoid fraud on the farm and in agriculture as well as an update on the upcoming primary elections for the Alabama elections coming up in May.”
In addition to general sessions, the convention will focus on issues directly impacting the cattle industry.
“So we’ll have some speakers that will be speaking to topics more pertinent to the cattle industry so you can have some tools to take back to the farm and just an awesome networking opportunity for our members to come and be a part of.”
For those who have not attended before, Beasley highlighted Mobile as a great host city.
“So if you haven’t been to the convention before, Mobile is a wonderful stop to make. Again, it’ll be March 6th and 7th at the Mobile Convention Center.”
Convenience is another key feature, with lodging connected directly to the venue.
“The host hotel will be connected to the convention center and that will be at the Riverview Renaissance Hotel. Again, there are rooms available but they will not last forever so make sure to get all of that taken care of today.”
Members can register and view the full convention schedule online.
“You can register on BamaBeef.org and check out the entire convention schedule.”
