Coming up this week, peanut producers and agricultural professionals from across the region are invited to attend the Georgia Peanut Farm Show, taking place this Thursday at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus Conference Center in Tifton. The annual event is a key stop on the agricultural calendar and offers farmers the chance to prepare for the upcoming peanut season.
Show hours run from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and attendance is open to peanut farmers as well as other individual farmers interested in learning more about the latest developments in peanut production. The Georgia Peanut Farm Show brings together industry representatives, researchers, and service providers to showcase new products, services, and research that can help improve on-farm efficiency and profitability.
In addition to the trade show floor, several educational opportunities are scheduled throughout the day. One featured short course is the Peanut Production Seminar titled “Remaining Profitable in 2026,” which will focus on management strategies and economic considerations as growers plan for the next crop year. Another educational session is the Industry Seed Seminar, scheduled for 10:35 a.m. on Thursday, offering insight into seed selection and industry trends.
Attendees can also enjoy a free luncheon during the show, making it easy to network with fellow farmers and industry partners throughout the day. Door prizes will be given away, adding to the excitement and making the event both informative and enjoyable.
Two major grand prizes highlight this year’s show. KMC, Kelly Manufacturing, is providing the Grand Door Prize, which includes one season’s use of a new peanut combine. In addition, Amadas Industries is sponsoring another Grand Grower Prize, which features a certificate for $15,000 toward the purchase of a new self-propelled peanut combine. These prizes represent significant value for growers and underscore the industry support behind the event.
With education, equipment, research updates, free food, and valuable giveaways, the Georgia Peanut Farm Show offers something for every peanut producer. As farmers make plans for the coming year, this event provides a timely opportunity to gather information and connect with the peanut industry.
