As the new year gets underway, farmers and agribusiness professionals are encouraged to mark their calendars for a full slate of agricultural meetings, conferences, and trade shows taking place throughout January and February. These events provide valuable opportunities for education, networking, and staying current on industry trends heading into the 2026 growing season.

January kicks off with the Beltwide Cotton Conference, scheduled for January 7–9 in San Antonio, Texas. The conference will be held at the San Antonio Marriott and is sponsored by the National Cotton Council. The Beltwide Cotton Conference is one of the largest cotton-focused meetings in the country, bringing together researchers, producers, and industry leaders. Farmers can find additional details and registration information at cotton.org/beltwide.

Next on the calendar is the Southeastern Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference and Trade Show, taking place January 8–10 at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center in Savannah, Georgia. This event focuses on fruit and vegetable production, pest management, marketing, and regulatory updates. Growers interested in attending can visit seregionalconference.org to learn more and secure registration.

From January 9–14, farmers from across the nation will gather for the American Farm Bureau Federation Annual Convention and Trade Show in Anaheim, California. This annual meeting brings together Farm Bureau members to discuss policy priorities, hear from national leaders, and explore a large trade show featuring agricultural products and services.

Mid-January also includes several important Georgia-based events. On January 13–14, the Georgia Plant Food Educational Society will meet in Tifton, Georgia, at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus Conference Center. This meeting focuses on plant nutrition, crop inputs, and research updates relevant to Southern agriculture.

Wrapping up the January schedule is the Georgia Peanut Farm Show, set for January 15 in Tifton, Georgia, also at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus Conference Center. This one-day event is free and open to all farmers and industry representatives, with more than 100 exhibitors expected to participate.

With a wide range of topics and commodities represented, these January and February farm meetings offer producers a strong start to the year through education, innovation, and industry connection.
