Georgia Milk Producers Prepare for Annual Dairy Conference in Savannah

Georgia milk producers are gearing up for one of the premier dairy industry events in the Southeast as the Georgia Dairy Conference returns to Savannah next month. Scheduled for January 19th through the 21st, the annual conference brings together dairy professionals from across Georgia and well beyond for three days of education, networking, and industry insights.
We caught up with Bryce Trotter with Georgia Milk Producers to learn more about what attendees can expect from this year’s event. Trotter explained that the conference continues to grow in both size and reach, attracting participants from neighboring states and even distant regions.
“This annual dairy management conference has grown to include dairy producers from Georgia and many of our surrounding states, even as far as New England and the upper Midwest,” Trotter said. “We put together three days of dairy farmer focused programming, seminars and lectures on the latest and greatest in dairy management and dairy technology, presentations from experts in the field of milk marketing and even beef and protein marketing.”
The Georgia Dairy Conference is designed to serve producers at every stage of their operation, from on-farm management to broader market trends. Sessions will focus on emerging dairy technologies, operational efficiency, herd health, and strategies to navigate today’s evolving dairy and protein markets.
In addition to producer-focused education, the conference also offers professional development opportunities. Trotter noted, “And we also have continuing education credit opportunities for veterinarians and dairy farmers with their CAFO permits.” These credits make the event especially valuable for professionals who need to maintain regulatory compliance while staying current on best practices.
Beyond the educational programming, organizers place a strong emphasis on collaboration and connection within the dairy community. “So we take a lot of pride in hosting the southeast dairy industry every year in Savannah for an event that really brings together some of the best and brightest minds in the dairy industry for networking and continuing education,” Trotter added.
Savannah’s central location and hospitality make it an ideal host city for dairy producers traveling from across the Southeast and beyond. The conference has become a cornerstone event for sharing ideas, strengthening relationships, and advancing the dairy industry as a whole.
