The Alabama Cattlemen’s Association is reminding both consumers and producers to keep beef at the center of the plate this holiday season. As families across the state gather to celebrate Christmas, the association is highlighting beef as a versatile, flavorful, and meaningful choice that supports Alabama’s cattle producers.

We caught up with Erin Beasley, executive vice president of the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association, to learn more about how Alabamians can celebrate beef during the holidays. Beasley emphasized that Christmas is the perfect time to showcase beef’s versatility, whether it’s served as a main entrée or featured in festive appetizers.

“Well we want to remind everyone to enjoy beef for the holidays,” Beasley said. “It is a fantastic protein of choice whether you’re looking for that center of the plate delicacy with a beef tenderloin or a beef roast all the way to making appetizers for your best Christmas party.”

From elegant holiday dinners to casual family gatherings, beef offers endless options that fit every style of celebration. Popular holiday cuts like beef tenderloin and rib roasts often take center stage, while ground beef and specialty cuts can be used for appetizers, sliders, meatballs, and other crowd-pleasing dishes.

Beasley also encouraged consumers to explore new ideas and recipes when planning their holiday menus. “And so there are a lot of different recipes that you can look at on beefatsweatsfordinner.com,” she said. The website provides inspiration for everything from traditional holiday meals to creative party foods, making it easier for families to include beef in their Christmas celebrations.

Beyond the holidays, the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association continues to promote beef as a nutritious and reliable protein choice year-round. Beef plays a critical role in supporting local farmers, ranchers, and rural communities throughout Alabama. Choosing beef not only brings great flavor to the table but also helps sustain the state’s cattle industry.

“And as always we want to continue to celebrate beef all year long, but especially at Christmas,” Beasley added. She also shared a message of gratitude and well-wishes on behalf of the association. “And we want to wish all of our consumers and all of our producers and members a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”

As the holiday season continues, the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association encourages everyone to enjoy beef, support local producers, and make lasting memories around the table with family and friends.
