Alabama Cattlemen’s Association Gears Up for the Annual Bainbridge Block Party

The Alabama Cattlemen’s Association is excited for this year’s Bainbridge Block Party, and we caught up with Josie Jones with the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association to learn more about this highly anticipated agricultural and community event. According to Josie, “We are super excited because it’s time for the annual Bainbridge Block Party. It’s going to be on November 18th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and we host this event every year at the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association office.”
A cornerstone of Montgomery’s fall events, the Bainbridge Block Party brings together Alabama’s agriculture community for a lively, educational celebration. As Josie explained, “So we have some partners that come in on this as well. So we work with the Alabama Forestry Association, Alabama Poultry and Ag Association, and Sweet Girl in Alabama to put on this ag education event. It’s all about highlighting some of the groups in Montgomery that work together to promote agriculture, specifically those on Bainbridge Street.”
Visitors can expect a welcoming, festival-style atmosphere filled with food, fellowship, and agricultural learning opportunities. “And we just get together and have a good time. So we hand out burgers and chicken wings and we have a bunch of producers come in and have almost a fall festival of ag vendors and really just get together and talk about the role that agriculture plays in Alabama’s economy,” Josie shared.
One of the most important aspects of the Bainbridge Block Party is its accessibility. “This is an open event so we welcome anyone who wants to in and just celebrate this with us,” she said. While agriculture professionals naturally gravitate to the event, it’s also designed for state workers and local residents. “With us being right here two blocks from the Capitol, this is a great opportunity for us to share about what we do across the state with the people who are working here in Montgomery every day.”
Guests can also enjoy a walk through the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association museum—an added bonus for those wanting to learn more about the history and impact of cattle production in Alabama. As Josie emphasized, “We want to see everybody come out and enjoy this event.”
The Bainbridge Block Party remains one of Montgomery’s most engaging ag-education events—offering great food, great company, and a deeper appreciation for Alabama agriculture.
