The Florida Farm Bureau Federation (FFBF) has recognized Frankie “Bubba” Hall of Alachua County with the 2025 Pat Cockrell Lifetime Achievement Award, one of the organization’s highest honors. The award was presented during the President’s Awards Banquet at the 84th annual Florida Farm Bureau state meeting at the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort.

Hall, who served as the Director of Agricultural Policy for 30 years, was instrumental in shaping initiatives that improved farmers’ livelihoods and enhanced the quality of rural life across Florida. His career has been defined by a dedication to advancing agricultural policy and supporting Florida producers through decades of industry changes.

In his retirement, Hall continues to stay deeply engaged in the agricultural community. He remains active with the Florida Farm Bureau and FFA, while also serving in consulting roles with Highlands Precision Ag, Vanguard Renewables, and Sustain RNG — organizations that focus on sustainability, renewable energy, and innovation in modern agriculture.

Honoring Decades of Agricultural Leadership

According to the Florida Farm Bureau,

“The Pat Cockrell Achievement Award honors Florida Farm Bureau employees who have displayed exemplary, long-term service to the organization. The award is named in honor of Florida Farm Bureau’s past employee, the late Pat Cockrell. During his 35-year tenure, Cockrell’s keen knowledge of agriculture was invaluable to all those he connected with. Shortly after Cockrell’s induction into the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame in February 2011, he lost a year-long battle with cancer.”

The award continues to celebrate individuals whose dedication, leadership, and service leave a lasting legacy within Florida agriculture — qualities that perfectly describe Hall’s contributions.

A Lifelong Commitment to Florida Agriculture

Throughout his career, Bubba Hall has been a respected voice in agricultural policy discussions, helping to ensure that Florida farmers are represented in both state and national conversations. His work helped strengthen programs that support producers, protect natural resources, and sustain the economic vitality of rural communities.

As the Florida Farm Bureau celebrates its 84th annual meeting, Hall’s recognition serves as a reminder of the enduring impact of those who devote their lives to agriculture.
