98th National FFA Convention and Expo Kicks Off in Indianapolis

The 98th National FFA Convention and Expo officially kicks off today in Indianapolis, Indiana, where FFA members from across the United States are gathering to celebrate agricultural education, leadership, and innovation. Running through November 1, this year’s event will host competitions, award ceremonies, service projects, and career exploration activities, all designed to empower the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Last year, the convention and expo welcomed over 71,000 attendees, and organizers expect another strong turnout in 2025. The National FFA Convention is one of the largest student conventions in the world, highlighting the importance of youth involvement in shaping the future of agriculture.
A Celebration of Leadership and Service
Throughout the week, FFA members will participate in hands-on service projects, career exploration sessions, and team-based competitions. The event also serves as a platform for members to strengthen their communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, connecting with peers from every corner of the nation.
“This year’s convention is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of our members’ dedication and a launchpad for the next generation of leaders,” said Christine White, Chief Program Officer of the National FFA Organization. “It’s a time where we honor the hard work of today and ignite the spark of inspiration for tomorrow, empowering a community that will shape the future of agriculture and innovation for years to come.”
Recognition and Career Opportunities
FFA members will be recognized for their individual and chapter achievements across a variety of categories, including leadership development, agricultural proficiency, and career success. The Career Success Expo will allow students to explore educational and professional opportunities in agribusiness, technology, animal science, and more — connecting them with potential employers and industry mentors.
Watch the Convention Live
For those unable to attend in person, the National FFA Organization is offering live streaming of general sessions via FFA Live!, allowing members, alumni, and supporters to join virtually from across the country.
The National FFA Convention and Expo remains a cornerstone of agricultural education in America — a place where students celebrate achievement, build lifelong connections, and prepare to lead the future of the agricultural industry.
