At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended October 10, 2025, receipts at 16 markets totaled 11,779 head compared to 11,144 last week and 10,204 last year. Compared to last week: Slaughter cattle sold mostly steady. Feeder steers and feeder bulls sold unevenly steady, feeder heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher. Trade active with good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cattle sold steady. A moderate increase in cattle coming to sale barns this week likely due to majority of the state experiencing drought conditions. Year-to-date receipts totaled 394,433 compared to 420,962 last year.
