At the Alabama Livestock Auctions for the week ending September 12th, receipts at the 16 markets totaled 12,623 head compared to 11,997 sold a week prior and 15,175 sold a year ago. Compared to the week prior: Slaughter cows sold steady to 5.00 lower, slaughter bulls sold steady. Feeder cattle sold 2.00 to 10.00 higher. Trade active with good demand on feeder cattle. There was an increase of replacement cattle offered, cows selling 500.00 higher with good demand.Â
