The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) has officially opened the application period for its Spring 2026 internship program, offering valuable opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the cattle and beef industry.

“The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association has announced that that the application period has now opened for their internship program for the Spring 2026 semester. These internships are located in both NCBA’s Denver Headquarters as well as their Washington DC office.”

Internships are available in three primary focus areas: public policy, producer education and sustainability, and meetings and events. These roles give students insight into the inner workings of the beef industry while building skills in advocacy, communication, event planning, and sustainability initiatives.

Gene Copenhaver, NCBA President-Elect, shared the importance of the program:
“Since 1898, NCBA has been the trusted leader and definitive voice of the U.S. cattle and beef industry. NCBA interns directly support the critical work of this association and make sure that our farming and ranching legacy continues in the future. I strongly encourage you to apply and start your career with NCBA.”

  • The public policy internship, offered in collaboration with the Public Lands Council, is based in Washington, D.C. and “gives students the ability to learn more about lobbying, government relations and advocacy.”
  • The producer education and sustainability internship, located in Centennial, Colorado, “will support the outreach related to the Beef Checkoff-funded Beef Quality Assurance program and will help to advance the cattle industry’s sustainability initiatives.”
  • The meetings and events internship, also based in Centennial, “will provide training in management of large scale convention and tradeshow, as well as logistics in smaller meetings and conferences.”

These are paid internships, and applications are due by October 6th. Students interested in applying or learning more can “get more details by visiting ncba.org through the website’s careers tab.”
