Positive News on EU Trade Barriers

On the global front, the U.S. Peanut Federation shared a promising update regarding non-tariff trade barriers with the European Union.

“From the Peanut Information on Trade Union, Trade Statement, today the President of the U.S. Peanut Federation said we’re grateful for the efforts made by the Trump Administration to identify solutions to the non-tariff trade barriers that is causing problems in the peanut industry. He said the European Union has the potential to be one of the strongest export markets, but we have continued to a significant disadvantage over our export competitors.”

“This agreement will help provide a sense of security for the U.S. peanut industry coming up this year. So good news from the EU on trade barriers.”

This breakthrough offers a boost in confidence to peanut growers and exporters as they gear up for the 2025 harvest.
