Wall Street is already placing strong bets on the next move by the Federal Reserve. With no Federal Reserve Board meeting in August, all attention is focused on the September 16–17 meeting, and analysts are trading heavily on expectations of a September interest rate cut.
“Wall Street analysts wasting no time Trading the likelihood of an interest rate cut in September Federal Reserve Board doesn’t meet in August Their next meeting is September 16th and 17th and it’s still even more than five weeks away The early CME Fed watch tool places an 86 to 87 percent chance There will be at least a quarter point rate cut when they meet in September Wall Street In fact agreed predicting another one Maybe even two more cuts now by a December.”
This growing speculation is impacting both financial and commodity markets. In the grain markets, pressure remains as favorable weather continues and harvest draws closer.
“Looking at grains Continuing to struggle in here with each passing week without weather issues is one week closer to the harvest December corn going to battle that $4 level into the harvest, but we watch 406 407 first.”
