Georgia Beef Board Sees Success with Burger Week Promotions, Prepares for Fall Events
Positive Feedback from Spring Promotions
The Georgia Beef Board is celebrating the success of its recent promotional campaigns, with strong community response and ongoing engagement. Robert Fountain, Chairman of the Georgia Beef Board, highlighted the enthusiasm generated by “Burger Week” events held throughout the state during May. These beef burger promotions not only brought energy and creativity to the beef industry, but also inspired participants across various age groups—from young people to older adults.
Report by Dale Sandlin with Southeast AgNet:
Sponsors and organizers reported an overwhelmingly positive atmosphere. Vendors introduced innovative burger recipes, and many attendees expressed excitement about trying those ideas at home. According to Fountain, the board expects some of the creative concepts to make their way onto backyard grills during the summer barbecue season and even during fall football gatherings.
Looking Ahead to a Busy Fall Season
With the summer grilling season underway, the Georgia Beef Board is already planning for a robust lineup of fall promotional activities. As Fountain notes, autumn brings two things to mind for many Georgians: football and fairs.
One of the season’s major highlights is the Georgia National Fair in Perry—a premier event with widespread participation. The Georgia Beef Board will once again be featured in the Georgia Grown building, joining forces with other agricultural vendors to showcase the state’s beef industry. The building, known for its cool air-conditioned atmosphere, will offer fairgoers a chance to engage with Georgia’s beef producers, view educational displays, collect recipes, and take home promotional materials.
The Board’s fair exhibit is designed to be both educational and entertaining, particularly for young attendees. With hands-on activities and take-home items, the Georgia Beef Board aims to engage all ages in learning about beef production, nutrition, and cooking techniques.
An Invitation to Connect
As the Georgia Beef Board gears up for the fall, it invites all fair visitors to stop by the Georgia Grown building and explore what Georgia beef has to offer. Whether it’s learning about new beef recipes or understanding more about the local cattle industry, the Board is committed to connecting with consumers and continuing to build excitement around Georgia-grown beef.
