The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) has announced the 2025 Regional Environmental Stewardship Award Winners. This year’s regional winners were recognized during the NCBA Summer Business Meeting in San Diego and highlighted six farms and ranches across the country.

The 2025 Southeast Region winner is the M&D Overstreet Ranch in Kathleen, Florida. The other regional winners are Whispering Hills Farm in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, Smith Family Farms in Bankston Iowa, McFaddin Ranch in Victoria, Texas; G&G Livestock and Cathey Cattle Company in Polson, Montana; and Wine Glass Ranch in Imperial Nebraska.

NCBA President Buck Wehrbein said, “It is an honor to recognize these cattle producers for their commitment to conservation. Not only are they protecting natural resources for future generations, but they also serve as stewardship role models for producers across the country”.

This award recognizes outstanding land stewards in the cattle industry who undertake conservation efforts unique to their environment, landscape and resources.

The award is sponsored by the USDA/NRCS, Corteva Agriscience, US Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Cattlemen’s Foundation. The final winner will be announced at the 2026 Cattle Con in Nashville Tennessee in February.
