Tyron Spearman reports peanut farmers invest each year in promotions through the National Peanut Board.

Trying to build the market of peanuts and peanut butter, they’ve just completed a survey by the Bannum Group that reveals compelling insights about generalization of food choices and why you make those choices. They say now with 85% of the U.S. adults having eaten or purchased peanuts in the past month, the findings underscore that peanuts continue to be the most consumed nut in America. Among Millennials, you know this is the ages between 29 and 44, the love for peanuts runs deep.

The generalization not only eats more peanuts, and peanut butter, but more often. And, they also share the enthusiasm through recommendations with social media and menu selections during the year. The data confirms that we’re long believed the board invested investment is smart, targeted marketing, and making an impact on helping to build the market. That is, that peanuts are now the favorite nut of both Millennials, and the Gen Z population. Gen Z’s 19 to 28 years, Millennials age 29 to 44.

Congratulations National Peanut Board, building markets for peanuts is fun, especially when you know the facts.
