At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended May 16, 2025, receipts at 16 markets totaled 8,490 head compared to 9,984 last week and 8,540 last year. Compared to last week: Slaughter cattle sold 1.00 to 5.00 higher. Feeder cattle sold 5.00 to 12.00 higher. Trade active with good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cattle sold steady. Markets lightly tested due to significant rain throughout the state over the weekend and early part of the week. Year-to-date receipts totaled 172,642 compared to 190,244 last year.
