
The Florida Cattlemen’s Association held it’s annual legislative quarterly meeting in Tallahassee this week where they addressed the business of the association, provided a briefing to their members, held legislative visits at the state capitol and held a reception for Florida’s legislators. They also heard updates from the Florida CattleWomen’s Association, the University of Florida IFAS and the Florida Beef Council. Southeast AgNet’s Dale Sandlin caught up with Florida Cattlemen’s Executive Vice President Jim Handley provided an overview of the event, Florida Cattlemen’s President Dale Carlton explained the goal of the event and Sam Ard explained the importance of the cattlemen’s visits to the legislators.
