The 2023 World Dairy Expo (WDE) is underway this week in Madison, Wisconsin. It brings in thousands of dairy producers from around the nation and around the world. Events began Sunday and will run through Friday.
One of those events is a Dairy Symposium featuring the Dairy Business Innovation (DBI) Initiatives from across the country. It will be held Tuesday, and will feature a panel that includes a representative from each of the four DBI Initiatives. The Initiatives provide direct technical assistance and sub-awards to dairy businesses to develop, produce, market, and distribute dairy products.
Of course, WDE is home to one of the best-known dairy cattle shows in the world. This is made possible by the numerous outstanding breeders, barn crews, owners, volunteers and so many others involved. Last year, over 2,600 head of cattle were housed by 1,871 owners representing 36 states and 5 Canadian provinces. The breed shows will be held all week.
There will also be over 50 seminars, sessions, and industry-hosted events throughout the week. WDE is the place to get-in-the-know about a variety of things happening in the global dairy industry. Hosted Tuesday through Friday in tandem with Expo’s Trade Show, all educational events are included with gate admission, or can be livestreamed via ExpoTV during the week.
