The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Georgia has announced that two program sign-ups are underway.

NRCS and partner groups have a sign-up for four regionally-focused conservation projects being funded through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). Each project has unique objectives and boundaries, but the ranking date for all eligible producers in these project areas to apply is November 4, 2022.

Plus, a statewide sign-up for fiscal year 2023 Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) funding is underway. All Georgia agricultural and forest operators who wish to be considered for technical and financial assistance need to apply by November 4, 2022.

While customers can apply year-round, this application ranking date announcement is for all general EQIP, as well as some special initiatives such as Climate-Smart Agriculture and Forestry and Conservation Incentives Contracts. Customers should discuss these sign-up options with your local conservationist to see if any are right for them.

To learn more about either program contact NRCS at your local USDA Service Center.
