U.S. Dairy Exports Could Be Record High This Year

We’ve reported before how U.S. agricultural exports set new records last year, and how many are expecting this year to be even better. They could eclipse the $177 billion number hit last year. And last year’s numbers included records for U.S. dairy exports. Gary Crawford has a story looking at what the dairy industry could expect in 2022.

William Loux, with the U.S. Dairy Export Council, gives an estimate of losses in export sales this past year due to port bottlenecks and other transportation issues.

Loux has some suggestions for alleviating transportation bottlenecks.

Daniel B. Whitley, administrator in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service, recently said overall U.S. export projections for FY 2022 are $183.5 billion.
