Sunbelt Ag Expo to Return in 2021

What a difference a year makes. A year ago, Sunbelt Ag Expo officials were uncertain about the October show amid the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

While the pandemic continues to persist a year later, officials are preparing for the show’s return, says Chip Blalock, executive director of the Sunbelt Ag Expo.

“It’s a lot different atmosphere around here. Exhibitor contracts are coming in. We’re working to answer exhibitor’s questions about different space, more space, so on and so forth.” Blalock added, “We’re thankful that we’re in that position and thankful that our exhibitors are coming back. We’re just looking forward to having the show this fall.”

When and Where

The agricultural-based trade show will be held on Oct. 19-21 at Spence Field in Moultrie, Georgia. “North America’s Premier Farm Show” attracts more than 1,200 exhibitors every year, as well as attendees from various states, including Georgia, Florida and Alabama.

The event was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic. But Blalock and the Sunbelt Ag Expo Board of Directors are excited about the show’s return.

“With the vaccines going in the arms and us learning how to live with COVID, using a lot of common sense with social distancing and masks and sanitation, we’re ready to move forward in October with a great in-person show. I think the exhibitors are thirsty for an in-person show, I know the attendees are,” Blalock said. “Whatever COVID protocols are in place in October, we’ll abide by them. We’re just thankful to be planning for a show that we’re pretty sure’s going to happen as opposed to last year, sitting here wondering.”
