The former head of the Department of Agriculture promised to continue to fight for U.S. agriculture. Perdue highlighted his visits to farms in all 50 states, saying, “I have learned that while accents and commodities may vary, the heart of the farmer remains the same.”

Perdue calls agriculture a selfless profession of men and women who strive to feed a growing population. He added, “I want to thank President Trump for the opportunity he gave me to serve you. Let’s continue to do right and feed everyone.”

Perdue served as Agriculture Secretary throughout the entirety of the Trump administration, along with several familiar names in other USDA positions.
