Through the Alabama Agricultural Stabilization Program (AASP), the application period for the Poultry Farmer Stabilization Grant Program is now open.
Applications for the poultry program are available at agi.alabama.gov or crf.alabama.gov through Friday, Nov. 6, 2020. The program was developed to assist poultry farmers that experienced disruptions due to COVID-19.
Broiler growers that have experienced down times of more than 17 days, density reductions of 10% or more, or both between March 13 and Oct. 15, 2020, will be eligible.
In addition to the broiler program, Pullet growers that have experienced down times of more than 42 days and Breeder growers that have experienced down times of more than 56 days will be eligible. The down times must have occurred between March 13 and Oct. 15, 2020.
In order to be eligible, you must be an Alabama resident and be able to provide documentation that you were a poultry grower. ADAI will require each applicant to submit specific information to qualify for eligibility.
