It was announced earlier this week that the United States Peanut Federation (USPF) has been formed to serve as a unified voice in Washington D.C. for all sectors of the peanut industry.
The Federation is comprised of the Southern Peanut Farmers Federation, the American Peanut Shellers Association and the National Peanut Buying Points Association. Ag Wired’s Cindy Zimmerman talked with Bob Redding of the Redding Firm, who represents peanut growers in Washington, D.C. He said these groups have been working together since 2002 and decided to formalize the relationship.
