The Georgia Cattlemen’s Association (GCA) Convention Planning Committee met last week and voted to cancel the annual GCA Convention & Beef Expo and instead, host a virtual Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 28. Additionally, all of the cattle sales usually held during the Beef Expo are being planned to be held together the following day. According to GCA Executive Vice President, Dale Sandlin, while they would have liked to enjoy the fellowship and being able to see each other, the committee felt it prudent to ensure the safety of their members.
Sandlin noted by hosting the virtual annual meeting, they will still be able to conduct the transition of officers, recognize those who worked hard to achieve membership goals, and conduct the business of the association. Plus, some special items will also be showcased during the virtual meeting. The virtual membership meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 7:00 PM.
More details about the GCA virtual meeting including the agenda, committee reports and other supporting documents can be found on their website, georgiacattlemen.org.
