Southeast producers are invited to attend the American Seed Trade Association’s (ASTA) 2019 Vegetable & Flower Seed Conference, February 1-5 in Orlando, Florida. The global conference is expected to bring together some 1,000 seed industry leaders from over 35 countries, and will feature a line-up of educational sessions covering topics from trade and phytosanitary issues, to industry trends and innovation. ASTA also notes that more than 150 companies will be on hand in their Trading Room.
New this year, ASTA is partnering with the USDA Office of the Chief Scientist on a session titled, “Global Perspectives on Indoor Farming & Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA): Producers to End-Users.” The session will feature expert speakers covering topics including crop selection, seed availability, consumer-driven traits, and global outlooks and scalability.
