During the annual Georgia National Fair, they are showcasing one of its newest attractions, the Georgia Grown Baby Barn. It is a live birthing center and nursery for farm animals, and a one-of-a-kind agricultural education exhibit designed to promote familiarity with Georgia’s animal agricultural industry by showcasing live births of cattle. Fairgoers have had the opportunity to see dairy calves born and newborn piglets are also on display. Last week a ribbon cutting of the Georgia Grown Baby Barn birthing center, an annex to the current Georgia Grown building at the Georgia National Fairgrounds, was held. The Georgia National Fair runs through Sunday in Perry.
