Everett Griner talks about some of the constant problems affecting agriculture in today’s Agri View.
Problems in Agriculture
You can bet the whole tariff issue has the whole world of agriculture upset. If there were no export problems, farmers have enough to worry about.
At the start of every crop year, there are things to be dealt with that they have no control over. How much is fertilizer going to cost this year? What will it cost to control weeds, insects, and disease? Will there be sufficient rain to make a good crop? And then, the big question. Where are the markets going? I think by now you get the picture. It cost a lot of money to answer all these questions.
When you throw in something like tariff wars, and its effects on exports, you can see what it is like to be committed to grow a crop every year. I hope you can.
That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner…
