Foods with Anti-Inflammatory Benefits
Now that we’ve learned a recent Swedish study concluded increasing our fruit and veggie intake can lead to longer, healthier lives, it’s important to know which foods to include in our diet. And, possibly even grow in our own backyard.
The study, published in the Journal of Internal Medicine, noted that a diet high in anti-inflammatory foods lead to fewer death rates from heart disease and cancer. You may want to include plenty of these options, when considering getting more anti-inflammatory foods in your diet.
- Tomatoes
- Olive oil
- Green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, kale, and collards
- Nuts, like almost and walnuts
- Fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, tuna, and sardines
- And plenty of fruits, including strawberries, blueberries, cherries, and oranges.
