Everett Griner talks about how times are changing in agriculture in today’s Agri View.
Time Changes Everything
You know there was a very popular song titled “Time Changes Everything.” That song dealt with love and romance. The facts are the same. In nowhere do they apply more than in agriculture.
Today’s young farmer wouldn’t last two crop years if he farmed like his father and his grandfather. I’m not talking about the tools and the technology used by those before him. He has to be much more conscious about the soil, the seed, and the chemicals. But, he will still falter if he does not know about, and understand, budgeting, marketing, and forecasting. He must anticipate more than those that preceded him, especially where United States government policies, and programs, apply. Essentially it is the same hard job. But everything else is different.
Time changes everything.
That’s Agri View for today, I’m Everett Griner…
