Many cattle producers across Georgia are familiar with the national beef checkoff program, where half of those dollars collected in the state promote beef here at home. But producers also have their state checkoff, which is handled through the Georgia Agricultural Commodity Commission (ACC) for Beef. Georgia Beef Board Executive Vice President Will Bentley reminds producers the commission applies for some of these dollars each year to help them with the various promotions across the state.
