The U.S. is scheduled to post its North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) goals July 17th. U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer told the Senate Finance Committee recently that while the negotiations will begin August 16th, there is no deadline to complete the negotiation process. He told the Senate panel, he’ll ‘get tough’ with U.S. trading partners, including enforcement.
