Everett Griner talks about the differences in where or how your meat is raised in today’s Agri View.
Does where and how your meat is raised have anything to do with its taste? There is no scientific study that proves conclusively that it does. But a recent report from a school that trains professional chefs tells me that meat that is raised humanely taste better than that which is factory raised. No, it did not make clear what is factory raised or what is humanely raised. But it referred to that term factory raised as that which is constantly under human control. I guess that means chickens and pigs. But what struck me most interesting the report said flat out that grass fed beef is not as tasty as grain fed. Well now that has been the opinion of most people since raising cattle on grass became common. And, I’ll buy that all day long.
That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner
