With peanut harvest underway in most parts of the southeast, the threat of El Niño is becoming a reality. El Niño is a warming of Pacific waters off the equator and Dr. Bob Kemerait, a University of Georgia plant pathologist, says it will cause a wetter late fall and a wetter and cooler winter. We spoke with Dr. Kemerait about how farmers should prepare if they are having trouble getting into the field due to wet conditions.
