From the Florida Farm Bureau Federation:
Gainesville, Fla.—Florida Farm Bureau Federation President John L. Hoblick expressed his appreciation for the general state water policy outlined today by Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam before the House Committee on State Affairs in Tallahassee.
“I think Commissioner Putnam’s action in taking a leadership stance on water policy will help all sectors of our economy, including agriculture, come together in the spirit of cooperation and formulate solutions that are positive and beneficial for the citizens of Florida,” Hoblick said.
“The challenges we face will certainly not be easy to solve,” he added. “But with level heads at the table, we can accomplish the vital goals of water policy in our state.”
“Florida Farm Bureau stands ready to support the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and farmers and ranchers as we move through the legislative process.”
