Several of the 35 citrus growers attending a grower forum in Wauchula Tuesday expressed frustration that populations of HLB-spreading psyllids remain high because nearby growers aren’t spraying for the pests. Peace River Valley Citrus Growers Association Executive Director LeAnna Himrod tells how her association will address the problem. She also notes that there’s high interest in the USDA’s Tree Assistance Program that will help pay for replanting of HLB-infected groves.
