Florida citrus growers paying for Florida Department of Citrus activities “are feeling much more pain than we are,” Florida Citrus Commissioner Jay Clark said during Wednesday’s Citrus Commission meeting. The commission and department staff were considering how to cut the department’s budget in the wake of the January 10 crop forecast that projected further crop reductions.
