The 38th Annual Membership Meeting of the Florida Peanut Producers Association took place last night in Marianna, as a big crowd enjoyed the always favorite smoked steak dinner.
Two people who have served the association for many years saw their terms end last night as Damon Sandlin of Williston and Larry Ford of Greenwood both were recognized for their years of service.
I had a chance to talk with Larry about not only last years crop, but what may happen this year and the good news about peanut exports right now.
One of the speakers at the meeting was Leslie Wagner, executive director of the Southern Peanut Growers, who I talked with about the checkoff which was information she presented to those in attendance.
