The regular session of the Alabama Legislature kicked off two weeks ago in Montgomery as both the House and Senate will be working again this year to pass a balanced budget. And according to an article in the Alabama Cattlemen magazine, leadership on both sides has already stated that no tax increases will be considered. But various discussions concerning ways to save tax dollars have already started and are expected to continue throughout the 105 day session. An update on the session will come from Governor Robert Bentley who is scheduled to speak at the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association Convention in Birmingham on March 23rd.
