A key land purchase was recently made in Florida to help panthers expand into new areas north of the Caloosahatchee River as a private rancher will continue beef cattle ranching on the property. Florida Cattlemen Association’s Jim Handley knows ranchers in the state are good environmental stewards and how NRCS will manage the Wetlands Reserve Program conservation easement on 718 acres of the property.
