MONTGOMERY, Alabama — Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries John McMillan is proud to announce three Farmers Market Days at the Capitol. These events will be held tomorrow, July 15th, and two other days this summer, August 16th and September 16th at the Alabama State Capitol at the Circle of Flags. Several local farmers will be there with fresh and delicious fruits and vegetables available for purchase.
According to government studies, fruits and vegetables contain essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber that may help protect you from chronic diseases. To get the amount recommended, most people need to increase the amount of fruits and vegetables they currently eat every day. Farmers Market Day at the Capitol will provide several choices of healthy homegrown produce.
