At a recent citrus field day at the Southwest Florida Research and Education Center, University of Florida scientist Bob Rouse showed off several experiments he’s conducting into possible ways to deal with HLB. In the first report, he provides an update on the use of foliar nutritients and other elements – the so-called Boyd Cocktail – to keep HLB-infected trees productive.
The second report is about buckhorning HLB-infected trees in an effort to let them recover.
The final reports, about cutting and rootstock trials, address efforts to get trees into production fast so growers can get returns before the trees succumb to HLB.
