Bonita Springs to be Hub of Florida Citrus Activity Next Week
Florida’s citrus industry will be gathered in Bonita Springs next week, where Florida Citrus Mutual will hold its annual Florida Citrus Industry Conference at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point. Florida’s Gulf Citrus Leaders Discuss History and the Future
When the Gulf Citrus Growers Association celebrated its 25th anniversary in LaBelle last week, members who have served as president offered some historical perspectives. First president Hugh English discusses the association’s birth and early objectives and offers an assessment of its quarter century of service. Recent past president Carey Soud discusses the Gulf CGA’s rise to its membership and acreage peak in 1998 and its decline in membership over the past 13 years. New President Wayne Simmons cites the challenges the association faces in the near future. Listen to the interviews.
